School Tours

  • You and your child will join a Wild Kin class for the day to get a feel for the program, witness the Wild Kin teachers in action, and see if Wild Kin is a good fit for your child.

  • The Roadrunners (Pre-K/TK ages 3-5) tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

    The Elderberries (Homeschool Enrichment, ages 5-9) tours are on Wednesdays.

    Please make sure to pick a day that corresponds to the class you are interested in via the calendar below.

  • A little about our two classes:

    Preschool / TK: We call this preschool/TK, but it's really for any child up to 5. This class is taught by teachers Kat and Lindsay. We have children as young as two and as old as 5 currently enrolled. This class is focused on music, sensory play, art, and gentle hikes. There is a lot of energy in this group, and a lot of opportunities for make-believe play + exploration. We explore some wilderness skills and craft projects in this class, but with more support for younger ages. We will be doing things like foraging + cooking, sewing, clay, lots of painting, pattern recognition + other literacy supporting activities. If your child seems like they would benefit from a gentler entry into forest school (less hiking) this would be a great fit. It would also be a great fit for the child who would benefit from being in a leadership role as an older child in the group.

    Homeschool Enrichment: This class is for children ages 5-9. This class is taught by teachers Kat and Desere. The older class is focused more on wilderness and bushcraft skills as well as deepening concepts from our younger class. We engage in more strenuous hikes with this group, and projects that require greater motor skill control. This class will be doing things like: navigation, tool making (homemade bow + arrows), foraging + cooking, whittling, nature journaling, harvesting wild clay for ceramics, and more. There are also plenty of opportunities for free play and make-believe. If you think your child would benefit from observing older children and embarking on greater physical challenges, then this class would be a great fit.
