Leeza Fentes

Pre-k / Tk Teacher (The Elderberries)

Hi, my name is Leeza, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself! I was born and raised in Ventura County, and currently reside in Moorpark with my amazing family. I’m a proud graduate of UC Merced, where I earned my bachelor's in Psychology and Natural Science Education in 2022. During my time in undergrad, I developed a deep passion for working with children and for the great outdoors where I spent a lot of my free time exploring the beauty of Yosemite National Park, which was just a short distance away from campus.

After graduation, I decided to continue my journey in child development, so I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Child Life at the University of La Verne. I love learning and understanding how children grow, learn, and thrive.

Outside of my studies, I’m an avid long-distance runner, and I’m currently training for my first ultra trail race. Running has become a big part of my life, helping me stay grounded while I pursue my passions and goals. I’m really looking forward to working with Wild Kin in such a beautiful environment and get to know each one of you!!
